How do I set a default value for a yes/no checkbox in Access? I've tried setting it to "True" but that doesn't seem to be working.

1) Go into the TABLE DESIGN window for your table with the checkbox

2) Find the checkbox in the field list (the field type will be "Yes/No")

3) Below the field list, find the GENERAL tab

4) With the checkbox field selected, check the DEFAULT VALUE property. You can type text into that property. If you type Yes into that property, it will check it by default. If you leave it blank of type No, it will not check it by default.

MS get right of entry to- putting a default fee in keeping with a the previous checklist? In a style (no longer the honestly table), you could set the default sources for the sphere you prefer to set by way of fact the final (previous) fee entered using the DLAST function. case in point, in the experience that your container is named "Fullname" from the table referred to as "Contacts" then right here expression is entered in the 'Default' sources: =DLast("Fullname","Contacts") this could now populate the fee into the subsequent new checklist. desire this helped. Right-click the box and select properties. Scroll down to where it says 'Default' or "Default Value", then type in 'yes' or 'no', whichever you want it to be.
