What website host should I use for building my website?

I'm new to website hosting, but I am using software that needs these specifications from the website host to run properly. If anyone could give me some advice, or any suggestions on a website domain host that would fit this profile it would be greatly appreciated!

PHP v5.2 or higher
PHP GD Support or Imagemagik
PHP Multibyte String Support
PHP CURL support

1and1 always has deals and promotions that they run. So if you're looking for a good host that is the one that I would suggest. I have several sites that I run through them and their control panel is pretty easy to navigate and their support is fantastic in my experience.. never had any issues with them in over 4 years. Great uptime and fast connections.
