=> B. I and II

Depending on the device, there may not be a hard drive so in some situations, ROM is used (think of the cell phone that uses memory rather than a disk). I guess you could go with "D" as an option though if you consider virtual operating systems (VMWare, MS Virtual PC, etc...).

=> In a simplistic way, the answer would be C. Booting. I'd argue that it is overly simplistic since many thing occur during start-up.

=> Neither of those answers applies. New development is often a derivative of existing technology, either by variation or merging. Just look at the combination of touch screen and an operating system or cell phone. Both have existed for a while, but the combination as a new device have lead to new technologies. On the hardware side, price for performance has dropped, efficiency has gone up, speed has gone up, size has decreased, capacity increased, etc...

I think it's best you study, do the research yourself, and actually learn something. Nobody gets a free pass, and if you got a job and treated your job the same way, you won't have that job for too very long.
