I purchased a domain name, hosting package, and installed a classifieds script through the file manager on public_html. I'm changing the settings on my script admin section to build my website as I want it to be. But I'm very new to creating a website and I never studied programming... My problem is that I don't know how I can preview and see my own website... When I type the name of my website and try to visit it, I see only my hosting provider page... What's wrong? How can I see my website? Is there something not well installed? Maybe I made a mistake? what could be my mistake?

My other question is that I need to change the script I bought for the classifieds to have the header with my own logo instead of a text. How can I change that?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, you need to remove the index.html page uploaded by your hosting provider for telling the visitors (If any) that the website is under construction and even tell Site owner to upload site content. It is quite common for a person to forget deleting the HTML file and trying to access the php file. Actually Apache (The software on which a web server is setup) prioritize HTML file before PHP files hence, for the server index.html is main webpage/home page and index.php (the script's main page) a secondary page.

If there is no index.html file and still that page appear then,

You'll probably need to refresh your browser's Cache and browser data to refresh the copy of your website in your browser that will definitely clear up the things for you, if problem still continues, consider providing your site URI for me to check what's the problem...

First you remove the index.html file. That's the page you see when you visit your url. Then you rename your file to index.html for HTML files and index.php for PHP files. If I were you I would take a basic HTML lesson. There are lots of them on the internet.

What's your website URL?

If you go to your Root map inside the file manager you can see a file named "index.htlm" That file is the mail preview file if you understand me. So If you replace that file with your file and rename yourfile to the same name you will see your site!
