Unless you have the paid package at FreeWebs.com, you can not use FTP. You have only two choices to edit the HTML. Either use FreeWebs SiteBuilder via the File Manager link and click on the pencil Icon of page you wish to edit and insert your code directly.
Or, copy paste the same page after going through process above to open the page into your own local HTML Editor on your PC. If editing is going to take some time. Click Save and logout of account.
Edit the page as you want, check that it works in your browser for code you just put in, then copy your page into clipboard. Then log into your account. Find page in File Manger again, open to edit. Click inside page and press Ctrl+A, should highlight all text, then press Ctrl+V to paste your own code from your HTML Editor. Click Save and check your FreeWebs site to see your changes. You may have to do a Ctrl+F5 to properly refresh page. Make sure you empty your browser's cache, too, from time to time.
