I know Microsoft is pushing .Net, and that's probably where the money/job will be at. However, VBA still supported in Office 2010. Will VBA soon be a technology that will be phased out by Microsoft, and VBA programming skill will no longer be needed?

I really do doubt VBA will ever be completely phased out. Millions of businesses depend on VBA working for their spreadsheets and databases and they aren't going to be too happy if Microsoft pulls the plug on it.

What may happen, and it's only me thinking aloud, that they might start offering support for VBA as an add-on for Office and other programs that use it - but they'll have to offer support for it for a long time to come.

Rumors always surround Microsoft's phasing out VBA, the last time was around 2005, but it's still here.

VBA is not a marketable skill by itself. While it won't be phased out, it is a plus if you are applying for a job that uses alot of Excel or Access work where knowing VBA will be helpful for you to do some advanced things.

But thats about it. No company is going to be looking for a VBA programmer.

I used VBA Access and I found it very useful even in a complex business environment. Easy to learn and a powerful analytical tool if combined with QBE (Query By Example) and Excel. I think that Microsoft created VBA to help non-programmers learn programming in a language that is having comprehensible commands and functions.

I doubt that it will become an unneeded skill any time soon. Having said that, it's becoming more common place to see people build spreadsheets in Excel but then wrap them into an application written in C# or VB.NET.

This allows you all the functions of Excel but also gives you access to the full power of the .NET Framework as well.

no longer probable. i do no longer understand the place you have become your information yet they're thoroughly incorrect. there is not any industry for VBA programmers. in case you realize something approximately VBA, you will understand its quite plenty old VB6.
