To create a shortcut for the run command on your desktop :

Step 1 : Click the 'START' button

Step 2 : Type in 'RUN' in your search box

Step 3 : Drag the 'RUN' option to your 'Quick Launch' toolbar

Congratulations! You've created your shortcut.

The exact same icon will be used, but the name will be &run.

You can always rename it by right clicking the icon and by pressing 'RENAME'.

Good luck and have a nice day.

assuming you have your OS in the default drive letter go to C:>windows>sytem32 and find the cmd executable, right click on it and select "send to" then select "create desktop shortcut". You can also drag it whith the right mouse button then release it where you want the shorcut and then select "create shorcut here".

like the run box? where you type? windows key + R works for opening that.

if you're looking for the command itself.. you can make batch files (.bat) that can do anything you could do with the run command.
