I am trying to do conditional formatting in excel. I have one row/column that is set. Is there a way to do that to multiple rows without having to do each row separately?

I would start with the format painter... do a search for it in HELP for instructions.

Select the entire column(s)you wish formatted and apply the criteria to the first cell. Make sure that the formula is relevant to the range selected, so use of mixed/absolute references may need to be used to achieve the results you want if using a formula rather than a value. I suggest you try a test area to experiment with before amending your spreadsheet proper.

Highlight your row, and copy > paste special > formats....onto the new range.
