I have a network of about 5 computers. The problem we face here is how to limit the internet explorer that can work on each of the computer at a time. Some of us open very many internet explorer to the extent that the network get so slow and this prevent others from doing their own work. For example when all computers are at work, what can i do to ensure that the user of each computer does not have more than certain number of functional internet explorer? Good question. And good luck dealing with people that have so many windows open. I cringe everytime I walk up to someone's machine and they have 10 different programs running, multiple IE windows, etc.

Try this:

It lets you set limits on how many IE windows they can open and autocloses any new ones they try to open.

HI

Ok my friend this is something that will take a lot of time , but lets start with the basic , do the 5 pcs validate the account on a domain or are they login locally . The reason for this is that there are several ways to do it , but since i dont know most of the details i am going to give the overall , now If the pcs are validating the user account against a windows server , then go to the server , and open the user policy editor , there under software look for the explorer and INTERNET explorer , here you can put the number of IE windows at a time. Now if the account is validating locally and you have xp pro then open the administrative folder and open the local security policy and here do the same . Like i said its MORE than what i just wrote , so write me so i can keep helping you config this
