How to change a .TXT to a .PHP file?

Hi so I wrote a code in .txt and I posted it as example.php to make it a .php file and than i noticed I had done something wrong so I opened it up by clicking Open As and used .txt (notepad) to edit it but now I can't turn it back into a .PHP file? I've tried doing it again and saving it as example.PHP but it just stays a .TXT file, there is no application for .PHP so i can't Open As a .PHP, any suggestions?

Open your file.It will open in notepad as its extension is .txt.Now click Save As.In file name type the name of your wish but type its extension as .php For example abcd.php

Go to the start menu then go over to computer then scroll down and click on the control panel then go over to programs then click on the files. Once you click on that a separate window should pop up and the fourth tab on the left hand side should say Format. Click on format and another window should pop up and there will be a list of all your existing files. Find and select the file you want to have converted. Right click on it and I'm making all of this up there should be a convert file item. Click on that and you can figure it out from there I'm sure. Hope this helps! Good luck

Open your file in Notepad

Click Save As

Type in example.PHP

Go to the dropbox Save as type and choose All files

Save.

Basically, just overwrite the real .txt extension with a .php one.

Just right click, and open with notepad. (Or whatever text editor you have)
