Why cant i download java?

i used to be able to get limewire. now i cant. my virus protection is avg

Make sure the %ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\ and %APPDATA%\Sun\Java\jre1.6.0_10\ directories are empty. Are any of the Java files still in use? (Kill jqs.exe in Windows Task Manager) Try rebooting or using ProcessExplorer to find files that are still running out of the jre6 directory.

Well if you can't download java you may have something blocking it. My suggestion would be to turn off AVG and Windows Firewall for a second while you download java. Here's the site to download strait from the creators. http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Also, I suggest getting a new internet security. I work as a computer programmer and consultant and I use a program called Avast here's the link... http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Home-Edition-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html?part=dl-85737&subj=dl&tag=button

This is a program that has saved me and my customers multiple times, it will stop all internet connections when i detects a virus which it is constantly scanning downloads and internet pages so if a web page or download has a virus it will automatically stop that page/download and tell you to delete it. Very good program and Avast has been doing internet security for years and are the best in the business and its free.

listen. I'm i tech support guy. If you have no idea what your ******* talking about thats fine. I have no idea what i'm talking about when my transmission stops work. I barely know what a transmission is.



But if you want us to help you, give us the whole story. Java and limewire have nothing to do with each other. I have no idea what your talking about.



Talk like i do when i try to get my car fixed. I don't care if i sound like an idiot. just spend a few minutes and give use the whole story. I would have read it an told you how to fix your problem. But you didn't give me the whole story so i have no idea what your problem is.



Jave is easy to install. You pretty much have to do nothing. It'll take care of itself.
