Help with Java And Limewire?

Question

so i installed the latest limewire(5.1.2) using the java that came with the installer (java 1.6.0_11). All of the online java test's work and show my correct version, but it will not load Limewire. it will show the splash screen but no loading bar. I can also not open the control panel, and yes i have reinstalled java and limewire various times with no effect. my pc is a custom build with windows xp.latest updates as of today(4/30/2009), all of the latest driver updates are also done. And any java program i have on my computer will not open. The online java test at java.com to test the Java VM wont open. firefox 3.5 beta 4(yes java is enabled in the browser) any more info needed, please ask me and i will add details

Two things..

Did you try using another browser like Internet Explorer 8?



Did you try installing sun java, instead of regular java?



Your anti-virus and/or firewall might also be blocking limewire. Try opening the limewire ports on the firewall or adding Limewire to the allowed exceptions on your antivirus.

limewire..haha prolly your firewall blocking it if that don't work restart your computer maybe things will work then.

had the comparable problem dont understand wat to do the only way i grew to become into waiting to get it particularly is via restarting my laptop to its production unit/unique state, and upgrading it via going to the beginning up menu and clickin on homestead windows replace. after that it worked high quality yet i lost each and every thing for it solid luck tho Ballistic B
