When I do it on my computer, it opens up in a thing that makes the words red, blue, and has numbers in the side.

But at school, it opens up in "Notepad" and I can copy/change html codes...

Is there a way to change settings to where "view source" opens up in Notepad, so that you could change your websites codes?

Go to the Tools menu.

Select Internet option.

Go to the Programs tab.

In the place whaere it say "HTML editor" select Notepad.

Click the OK button.

[EDIT]

Just from being able to view the source from the internat and yu change it, it will not save it to the website so the changes you made will be theer. It does not work that way.

You need to save the pages on your computer, right click on the files and do "open with" and choose NotePad.

Make the changes, then you will have to use an FTP program to upload the pages back onto the web host for them to be changed. If the web host uses cPanel, then you can use that to upload the changed files.

Well, some poeple don't realise that the majority of us go on here for a laugh and a slight obsession and not to be stalked and reported for everything we say and do. I was reported for the first time today and vigourously defended my corner...and won my appeal. An looking into it further, these seems to be no mean feat what I've achieved. I say get over it and claw back your ten point somehow.

Once you have it opened in that red, blue, number window, is their a menu bar?

From here, you should be able to save it in notepad.

Or just copy what you see, and paste it into notepad.

Configuration depends on the browser..

What browser do you use in school and in your computer?
