That's probably a loaded question, but I have tried to narrow it down. I need to build a website for a client, so it needs to be professional. So:

- one I have the domain, how do I get the webpages I design online?

You register a domain by making the purchase from a domain registrar. Once purchased, you can keep it "parked" at the registrar until you find a hosting company to host the website. You might wish to ask your client where he'd like it hosted since your client will be paying for the hosting fees. You might want to provide a few choices after you check out a few, there are so many. I recommend HostGator.



Once you design the web pages, you can FTP them by using FileZilla, a free FTP program that makes uploading the files into the host directory quick and easy.
